Advantages

The AWS-III answers the practical challenges faced by many wave energy devices and we believe its steel weight to power ratio is/will be around twice as good as other leading concepts. The large scale, modular construction leads to lower construction costs and the system is greatly simplified to reduce maintenance burden. The result is that we expect energy production costs to be around one half of those predicted with any other known concept.
